INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Global Institute of Management celebrated 69th Independence day on 15th August 2015, in Presence Of Honourable Raosaheb Yewale, Founder President of Dnyanvardhini Shikshan Sanstha Sangamner, Dr. A.A. Deshmukh, Director of Global Institute of Management, Sangamner.
Dr. Deshmukh shared his thoughts & gave speech about sacrifice of freedom fighters, Need of Sustainable Development & growth of Indian Economy & Corrective action to be taken by Young students. He motivated & encouraged Students on this Day at Global Institute Of Management & Celebrated the Swachata Abhiyan & Tree Plantation in Institute Campus. Students, Faculty & staff members were present on the occasion.
INDUCTION PROGRAM 2015
As per our tradition, Institute has organized the Induction Program for the MBA students of Batch 2015-17 on 21st Aug, 2015. The basic purpose of this program is to introduce culture, environment Rules & Regulations of the Institute to the newly enrolled students, which helps them to know about the Institute as well as reduces their nervousness, homesickness & prepare them mentally to face the challenges in future.
On this occasion Mr. Pranish Kushare (Principal Business Consultant, Infor India Pvt. Ltd., Nashik) and Mr. Surojit Saha (IIM, Calcutta) share their views and experiences with the newly admitted students. On the eve of program Mr. Pranish Kushare advised students to keep their eyes open, look for the market opportunities, accept the challenges & make your future bright.
Mr. Surojit Saha a featured speaker, inspired students to find campaign they are passionate about & make their chosen career more than just a job. He demonstrated the concepts of Organizational Behavior like Team Building, Leadership, and Motivation by involving students. All students enthusiastically participated & enjoyed the Program.
GUEST LECTURE on “How to Face Interview with Confidence?”
GIOM has organized a Guest lecture on the topic “How to Face Interview with Confidence?” By Mr.Saurav Bhowmik (Director, Naukri Station, Pune) on 4th Sept, 2015.
In his lecture he taught the students how to present you while facing the Interview, the Body Language & the confidence required for the job. He has taught the students how to make Handshake and the Importance of smiling face.
Global Institute of Management, Sangamner has celebrated Teacher’s day on 5th September 2015. The Chief Guest for the programme was Dr. Anand Deshmukh (Director of GIM) & Prof. Lakhan Lohiya (HOD of GIM), Faculty, Staff and Students were present on the occasion of Teacher’s day.
Students have co-ordinated and conducted the lectures as per the timetable. The best teacher from the students were selected on the basis of some parameters and Mr. Swapnil Gosavi (MBA-I), Mr. Shahrukh Khan (MBA-II) awarded as best teachers. The Ist year and IInd Year students were actively participated in the programme. The Students shared their views and experiences about the Teachers Day.
GANESH FESTIVAL CELEBRATION
Ganesh festival was celebrated in the Global Institute Of Management with much devotion & enthusiasm. A special puja was held to worship the lord Ganesha in the presence of students, Director & Staff members.
This year Ganesh festival was celebrated from 17th Sept. to 23rd Sept. in a special way at our Institute. The various activities have been arranged by the students on all Seven Days. On the 7th day, the Immersion procession was carried on by saying “Ganapati Bappa Moraya, Pudhachya Varshi Lavkar Yaa”.
A guest Lecture of Mr. Brijesh Rai has been organized on 21st Sept, 2015 on the topic "Present Marketing Scenario and Strategies with special reference to Cement Industries in India".
Mr. Brijesh Rai who is having more than six years of experience in Cement Industry has shared his enormous experience in marketing of Cement Industry & also discussed the current manpower requirement of Cement Industry in upcoming years. He has tried to escalate the queries of students about the Marketing strategies of Cement Industry. He emphasized that, more formalized engagement with industry is particularly important. In this Interactive session students have realized the actual ground realities of marketing field. The programs ended with thank giving speech by the student.
WELCOME CEREMONY 2015
Welcome Ceremony 2015 was organised on 23rd Sept. 2015, to welcome the MBA students of 2015-17 Batch in the Global Family.
In the first session of the program, under Students Development Activity, a Guest Lecture of Dr. K. N. Bavale (Consultant, Gokhale Institute of Economics & Politics, Pune) was organised. It was a knowledge Feast for students. Speaker Dr. Bavale delivered a lecture on the topic “Education & Sustainable Development”. In his lecture he explained the relation between Management Education & Sustainable Development. He has focused on Global Policies adopted by foreign countries for Sustainable Development and Various burning issues that India is facing today. He motivated the students during the session for acquiring knowledge and skills for the development of the Society.
On the occasion of Welcome Ceremony various cultural Programs were organized by MBA Second Year students to Welcome Freshers like Dance, Management Games etc. Based on performance and 5 parameter evaluation, Mr. Swapnil Gosavi (MBA-I) and Miss. Jayashri Kandekar (MBA-I) was selected as Mr. & Miss. Fresher Respectively. The event Ended with Ganpati Visarjan on 7th day (Started from 17rd sept, 15 to 23rd Sept, 2015) followed by the dinner at Hotel Swadesh.
WORKSHOP ON SOFT SKILLS, PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT & INTERVIEW SKILLS BY MR. SAURAV BHOWMIK (DIRECTOR, NAUKARI STATION PUNE)
GIOM has organised a one day workshop to groom the personality of MBA students on the topic “Soft Skill, Personality Development and Interview Skills” By Mr. Saurav Bhowmik (Director, Naukri Station, Pune) on 29th Sept, 2015.
In the first session of the program he has taught the importance of Communication skill in Soft Skill and Personality Development. In first session he demonstrated the concepts of Business Communication like Verbal-Non verbal Communication, Body Language, Gestures-Postures, Manners-Etiquettes, and types of Hand Shaking with their importance.
In afternoon session he has taught the concept & need of Personality Development. In that he included all the concepts of Organisational Behaviour and general Management like Time Management, Attitude, Decision Making, Leadership, Motivation, Confidence and many more with their practical implications. He explained Interview Skills that students may acquire before facing the Interview. In that he explained pre interview, during interview & after interview preparations and communication skills. On this occasion Mr. Saurav has conducted Mock interviews for participated students. He has tried to escalate the queries of students about the Soft skills, Personality development & Interview Skills. Students actively participated & involved in the session.
