Industrial visit has its own importance in career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum. Objective of industrial visitis to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies and with the same purpose GIOM, Sangamner, every year arranges the Industrial Visits in order to give the students the feel of Industrial Working .this year we have organized Industrial visit on 24th January 2017 at Legrand India Pvt Limited, Sinnar.Mr.Kale sir (H.R.Head) &his team members have shown our students various departments and given in-depth information about the functioning of it from management point of view.
As per the tradition of GIOM, Sangamner this year a two days National conference was organized on 30th &31st January 2017 on the topic-“Government Initiatives for economic development of India-A current scenario”. For the conference Mr.Yamaji Malkar sir (Trustee , Arthakranti prathishtahan) was a chief guest, Dr. Arun Gaikwad sir (Vice principal Sangamner college) as a guest of honor, Dr.K.N.Bawale sir (Director, Inspire academy, Pune) as guest of honor, Mr. Raosaheb Yewale sir (President) DSS, researchers& Research scholars from various regions were present. Mr.Yamaji Malkar sir has thrown light on Arthakranti foundation and working of it along with requirements to enhance and strengthen of Indian Economy. Dr.Arun Gaikwad sir focused on Financial Inclusions & Economy.Dr.Bawale sir has given guidance to students regarding human tendency& economical development with problems for growth of economy. Research scholars have presented the papers & total 40 papers were received& published in “Information & Research Trends “Volume 5,Issue-1,Jan 2017,ISSN-2320-2327 Special Issue on National Conference on Government Initiatives for Economic development of India-A current scenario”.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

As head of the GIOM family Dr. Deshmukh sir shared his thoughts & gave speech about the sacrifice of freedom fighters, Need of Sustainable Development & growth of Indian Economy & Corrective action to be taken by Young students. He motivated & encouraged Students on this Day.
Blood donation camp on 15th August 2016 -
Global Institute of Management has organized the Blood Donation Camp in association with Arpan Blood Bank, Sangamner. Blood donation was started at 10.00 AM and response was overwhelming as student and faculty member participated voluntarily in the Blood Donation Activity. A lecture was conducted by the Blood Bank representatives in that they explained the importance of Blood Donation and its benefits to the Donors and Society. Certificates were issued to the Donors in the presence of all Delegates. They also gave trophy to the Institute for this noble cause. Students, Faculty & staff members were present and participated in the event wholeheartedly.
INDUCTION PROGRAM 2016
As per GIOM tradition, Institute has organized the Induction Program for the newly enrolled MBA students of Batch 2016-18 on 23rd Aug., 2016. The basic purpose of this program is to introduce culture, environment Rules & Regulations of the Institute to the newly enrolled students, which helps them to know about the Institute as well as reduces their nervousness, homesickness & prepare them mentally to face the challenges in future.
Tree Plantation Program (CSR Activity) in Association with Legrand India Pvt Ltd, Sinnar
On this occasion in morning session Global Institute of Management (GIOM), Sangamner organized Tree Plantation Program under CSR Activity in Association with Legrand India Pvt Ltd, Sinnar in the presence of Hon. Shivajirao K. Yewale (Vice President, Dnyanvardhini Shikshan Sanstha,Sangamner), Mr. Ashish S. Yewale (Member, LMC), Dr. A. A. Deshmukh (Director, GIOM, Sangamner), Shri. K. D. Mulay (O.S., GIOM, Sangamner), Prof. Lakhan Lohiya (Program Coordinator), and Team of Legrand India Pvt. Ltd. namely Mr. Anil Kolapkar- Asst. General Manager-EHS, Mr. Suhas Kale- Manager HR, Mr. Dominic Savio- Asst. General Manager-MTDM, Mr. Anil Pedraj-Manager- Materials, Mr.Jagdish Jadhav, Mr.Vinay Joshi- Executive HR, Mr.Amol Kadam-Executive Administration, Mr. Nitin Shinde-Executive HR -Ambad. All teaching, Non-Teaching Staff and Students of GIOM, Sangamner enthusiastically participated in program & enjoyed the event.
In order to impart outbound training to the students this year also we have organized hill treck activity on 21 September 2016.The basic intention of this activity was to take the students more closer to the nature and to increase their physical strength& stamina.
Students enjoyed the program and thus their minds were nurtured with nature’s essence.
Pemgiri fort visit-
Outbound training program was conducted by the Institute to refresh the students at ‘Pemadevi ’fort or the (Pemgiri fort). ‘Pemadevi fort’ is located at short distance from Institute which is the one of the most famous historical place To inculcate management knowledge with history was the objectives behind the visit.
Guest lecture on “Meditation and Study”
A Guest lecture on the topic “Meditation and Study “was conducted by Mr.Jahagirdar (HR Manager at ADF Sinner, Nasik) on 30th Aug 2016.
Mr.Jahagirdar explained the tricks on how to study under pressure. He has highlighted the importance of meditation to tackle the tension and stress arising from the situations. The student has taken active part in discussion.
Guest lecture on “Leadership and Motivation”
A Guest lecture was organized on the topic “Leadership and Motivation” By Mr.Hundekari (CMD Splendid freedom technologies, Babhaleshwar, Ahmednagar) on 8th sept 2016
The lecture was helpful for understanding the opportunities for the students to acquire the job skills, knowledge, Attitudes, perception to create professional Identity and also Mr.Hundekari solved all queries & doubt of the student related with specific functional area.
GANESH FESTIVAL CELEBRATION
Ganesh festival was celebrated in the Global Institute of Management with much devotion & enthusiasm. A special Puja was held to worship Lord Ganesha in the presence of Director, Dr. A. A. Deshmukh, Shri. K.D.Mulay sir, teaching and non-teaching staff members and students.
This year Ganesh festival was celebrated between 5th Sept. to 11th Sept.2016 in a special way at our Institute. The various activities have been arranged by the students on all Seven Days. On the 7th day, the Immersion procession was carried on by saying “Ganapati Bappa Moraya, Pudhachya Varshi Lavkar Yaa”.
DAHI HANDI PROGRAMME
As per the tradition of Global Institute of Management Dahi-handi programme was organized for the students. Director, Dr. A. A. Deshmukh, Office Superintendent Shri. K.D. Mulay sir, Prof. Lakhan Lohiya, HOD of GIOM, inaugurated the function and supported the participants for the game of Dahi-handi. Four groups were formed. It was an awesome experience for the students as well as faculty members. The evaluation of the game was based on the Management functions like planning, Controlling, Directing, Organizing, etc. and Management practices.
Winners of the game were awarded with I and II rank.
The cultural programme 'Sanskruti 2017' has provided a common platform to showcase the skills and talent of the students. Students celebrated Sanskruti 2017 from 17/02/2017 to 23/02/2017. In these events Students have celebrated Mismatch day, Antakshari, Traditional Day, Twins Day, Musical Chair, Chocolate Day, Saree Day, Feta Day and participated in Chess, Carom, Badminton, Cricket, Volley ball etc.
Programme was concluded on 23/02/2017 with the event of Fishpond and Cultural Activities. Program was very successful. Students enjoyed a lot.Programm was concluded after distribution of prizes with mementos.
Motivational lecture by Smita V. Gune
A lecture on Motivation and personality development was organized on 16/11/16 in conference hall of Global Institute of Management. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Smita V. Gune; she is well known soft skill trainer. In this session she focused on need of self-independence for the girls as well the requirement on discipline to be successful in the life of human beings. She has also focused on the required skillset expected by the industry from the students.
Lecture by guest speaker K. Sukumaran
Mr. K. Sukumaran, Dean of National Institute of Security Market, Vashi, and Mumbai had delivered a lecture on 10/02/2017. In his lecture he was highlighted the role, functions of SEBI (securities and exchange board of India) in the Indian stock market. Also give the basic lessons about the Indian stock market to the students.
Holi is the festival of the colours. In the campus of Global institute of Management this colourful festival has been celebrated by the students as well the faculty member. Students enjoyed the festival by spreading the colours, dance& music.
